The 2024 CEIU Collective Bargaining Conference was held from November 26th-27th in Montreal.
For the first time, some 60 delegates and the National Executive prioritized bargaining demands received from CEIU members across the country to bring to the PSAC Bargaining Conference.
CEIU members also took the opportunity to rally outside the Guy-Favreau Complex in Montreal to let Treasury Board know that we’re ready to negotiate.
CEIU members submitted more than 1200 demands on wages, working conditions, leave allowances, and more.
The top 5 demands prioritized by conference participants related to wages, telework, working conditions in call centres, increases in annual leave, and increases in family-related leave.
These and other CEIU bargaining demands will now make their way to the PSAC Bargaining Conference taking place in Montreal from February 19th – 23rd. The conference will bring PSAC members together to review, discuss, and prioritize issues for bargaining with Treasury Board.
Conference delegates will also be electing their bargaining team.
CEIU members make up a sizable portion of the PA Group, with a collective agreement that expires in June, 2025.
