Call for Nominations – Human Rights/Race Relations (HRRR)

The Canada Employment and Immigration Union (CEIU) is calling for nominations for the positions of Representative(s) and/or Alternate(s) to sit on the CEIU National HRRR Committee.


The Call for Nominations is for the following (8) positions on the Committee:

 

  • One (1) Male Representative for First Nations/Métis/Inuit
  • One (1) Female Representative for First Nations/Métis/Inuit

 

  • One (1) Male Representative for Members with Disabilities
  • One (1) Female Representative for Members with Disabilities

 

  • One (1) Male Representative for Racially Visible Members
  • One (1) Female Representative for Racially Visible Members

 

  • One (1) Male Representative for GLBT
  • One (1) Female Representative for GLBT

 

  • Two (2) or more Male Alternates; and
  • Two (2) or more Female Alternates

for each of the four (4) equity groups

 

Any member in good standing that has self-identified with CEIU is entitled to nominate or be nominated or seconded by a member that has also self-identified with CEIU who belongs to the same equity group as the member being nominated or seconded.

The deadline to receive the nomination forms and any self-id form is 4 p.m. (Ottawa time) on August 9th, 2019.
