The CEIU National Executive (NE) passed a motion to create a one-time strike fund to support every member of our union who participates in strike action during this round of collective bargaining.

In addition to the $75/day already provided by the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) strike fund, CEIU National will also pay each impacted member an additional $50/day.

Most locals, and some regions of CEIU, also have additional strike funds. Members also have access, as needed, to the PSAC hardship fund. Members are encouraged to speak to their locals and regions for more information.

The NE wishes to convey the message to our members that: We have got you during this round of collective bargaining. No member of CEIU will be left behind.

CEIU is the largest Component at the largest bargaining table on the continent. And, on behalf of the over 32,000 members of our union who belong to the PA bargaining table, we are sending a clear message to this employer:

We are ready to shut it down.
