DAY 3: CEIU National Convention – Wednesday, August 18th, 2021

Delegates, observers, and guests were greeted, upon signing in to the virtual CEIU Convention platform on day three, to the sound of Solidarity Forever and the showing of the accomplishment video.

The Credential Committee provided their report at the start of the day, prior to the By-Laws Committee chair, Fabienne Jean-François, and committee member, Trish Martin, continuing with the Report of the By-Laws Committee.

However, after that vote, the National President returned and advised the delegates that there was indeed a cost attached to Resolution A-29A.  Co-chair Jean-François read the cost analysis provided for this resolution.

A tally sheet showing the impact to the budget from the referrals adopted the previous day was shown to the delegates prior to President Bourque calling for another vote on Resolution A-29A so that delegates could vote, once again, on that resolution, now knowing that there was a cost associated with the adoption of that resolution.  The resolution was adopted.

With time still left for convention business, President Bourque invited the By-Laws Committee to continue with their Report.
