Have your say on informal conflict management systems at work

Informal Conflict Management Systems (ICMS) are integrated into every department within the government as per section 205 of the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations Act (FPSLRA).

 

 

ICMS may take many forms from informal conflict resolution to counselling and training sessions offered to promote conflict resolution skills in the workplace.

 

Essentially, any workplace conflict can be brought to the ICMS in your department for assistance. This doesn’t stop members from using the grievance or complaint processes, but allows for more informal and speedy resolutions to some conflicts.

 

Treasury Board and PSAC have created a joint committee to review ICMS across the government.

 

The PSAC is currently running this survey to consult members. Please take a few minutes to complete it! The survey closes Aug. 9, 2024.
