On this 1^st National Scholarship Callout for 2024, the Canada Employment and Immigration Union is pleased to offer up to fifteen (15) $5,000.00 National Scholarships to CEIU members in good standing, their spouse, their common-law spouse (including same sex partners) and/or their dependant(s).

For the second callout for the year 2023, the Canada Employment and Immigration Union (CEIU) received a total of 63 applications from across the country.

The candidates selected to receive one of the five $5,000 CEIU National Scholarships were awarded on a merit basis and approved by the CEIU National Executive (NE) at the beginning of April.  The candidates receiving a scholarship are:

International Human Rights Day is marked each year on December 10, the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). This year, we celebrate the 75^th anniversary of this international landmark document, which sets out the fundamental human rights to be universally protected, and that all people are equal, regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.

On December 6^th, National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, we remember the names of the women who were murdered at Ecole Polytechnique 34 years ago on this day.

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) is a UN day recognized annually on December 3. Its aim is to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.
