We were invited by our Liberal MP, Jean Rioux. We met him in the reception area to talk about the status of collective bargaining. We also had a chance to meet the following MPs: Jean Rioux, Denis Paradis, François-Philippe Champagne, Diane Lebouthillier and Joyce Murray.

We asked Minister Murray to return to the bargaining table with reasonable offers.

The CEIU National Human Rights/Race Relations (HRRR) Conference is fast approaching and matters dealt with by this conference will be in the form of resolutions which are either adopted or defeated by the accredited delegates in attendance at the Conference.

The Canada Employment and Immigration Union (CEIU) is calling for nominations for the positions of Representative(s) and/or Alternate(s) to sit on the CEIU National HRRR Committee.

May 17 of every year is International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT).  It is a rallying event offering an opportunity for people to get together and reach out to one another.

The CEIU National Office and Simply Voting, is conducting an electronic vote for the following positions:

• 2^nd Alternate NVP for Ontario
• 2^nd Alternate NVP for Quebec

Mental Health Awareness Week is May 6th-12th, 2019.  In that light we would like to ask a few questions on mental health in the workplace.
