The union team was waiting for feedback from the employer on the new suggestions and comments sent in April 2018 regarding the revised CGIO job description at Integrity and the SDA-1s within Income Security Programs.
In July 2018, the employer confirmed that the new job description will apply only to employees that perform work related to pension services (benefit delivery services) and integrity services.
In September 2018, the employer confirmed that it had completed its review with the various key management actors to establish a final job description.
The next step will be that the Department will set up an interdepartmental classification committee in late October to evaluate the job description and determine its group and level. Once this committee has issued its final report, the Department will meet with the labour side to share the classified job description and the evaluation results. Then, these documents will be shared with benefit delivery services and integrity services employees.
The employer expects to be in a position to meet with the labour side during the next quarter.
