When Canadians call 1-800-O-Canada with questions about their employment insurance, pensions, or parental leave they expect answers from a knowledgeable Government of Canada employee, with the training and experience to answer them in both official languages, and who will treat their personal financial information with privacy and security.
Instead, Service Canada contracts out this work – and to an American corporation with a reputation for poor working conditions, low wages and precarious work.
Help us #UncoverTheCosts of this outsourcing, and write to the minister today to demand that that 1-800-O-Canada stay a service that Canadians can rely on for the information they need - you can write to the Minister here.
